NATIONAL FERVENT PRAYER AVAILS MUCH

04 May NATIONAL FERVENT PRAYER AVAILS MUCH

On this National Day of Prayer, we remember the words of George Washington, the first President of the United States of America, “It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits and humbly to implore His protection and favor.”

The theme of the 2023 National Day of Prayer is “Pray Fervently in Righteousness and Avail Much,” James 5:16. Elijah’s fervent prayer stopped the rain for three and a half years, and when he prayed again, it rained! Charles H. Spurgeon, known as the prince of preachers said, “Prayer is the slender nerve that moves the muscle of omnipotence.”

Each year the president makes a proclamation and today Biden declared, “The right to pray is enshrined in our Constitution and stamped firmly in the American tradition. The belief that prayer can move mountains is, at its core, a belief in making the impossible possible.”

Today, as one voice in unison before the throne of God, we will make great power available for our families and this nation. In this broadcast, we also discover the power of United Prayer.
