REJOICE!

21 Dec REJOICE!

My heart exclaimed, “REJOICE,” as I drove home from the store last night. Thousands of Christmas lights seemed to twinkle in adoration of something much larger than Santa, Reindeer and Snowmen.

On the inside I heard another message, one of our beautiful creator, hope and a nation coming alive again! Just a couple of years ago the lights were scarce in our community. The landscape was drab and each home seemed vacant of the celebratory Christ-Mass. Most people may celebrate Christmas with the typical “Hallmark Message” of the spirit of Christmas, meaning the giving of gifts and the expectation of a miracle season. What I saw as I drove, was a country alive with hope and expectation. I began to sing songs of the birth of our Messiah and the MOST IMPORTANT SEASON of the year. Centuries later we celebrate a season that forever changed the world!

Peace on Earth and Good Will towards all people!  For many, Christmas is a season of hustle and bustle, of families celebrating, gift purchasing and meal planning.

This “Christ-mass,” remember to reflect upon the “Miracle of Christmas.” A virgin conceived and gave birth to a child! God’s dream was birthed for humanity! As we approach this season, may your dream be birthed and may you remember that just as Mary stood all alone before the Angel, God had a plan to connect Mary with just the right people so that she could cultivate the God dream planted in her heart! Remember, God did not put an idea in your heart if he did not intend to help you see it come to fruition.

When Mary conceived, the Angel said, even your cousin Elizabeth is pregnant in her old age. Mary found her way to Elizabeth, someone she could share her miracle with. Mary must have been overwhelmed by Elizabeth’s words,

“Why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!” Luke 1:44,45 NIV

You have believed and found your way to the nations through your partnership with Christian Adventures! You have birthed dreams in many hearts through your giving! Our hearts rejoice each time we receive your letters and offerings!

Rejoice! Christ has been born in the hearts of thousands of people through your generosity!

Merry Christmas!
