28 Jul New Update on POTATOES PLANTED! THE HARVEST IS GROWING!
Amidst widespread food shortages across Ukraine, you have played a major role in ensuring that tons of potatoes were delivered and planted in Ukraine. This investment will provide food for thousands of families.
Being in America, we may not have heard how many tons of the existing Ukrainian seed potatoes were either fed to the refuges or lost due to the war. As you can see from the photo below – two large hills of rotten potatoes were dumped due to the loss of power in this war zone.
But you have made a new reality for Ukraine possible! We received the following report from Clear Vision Charity Foundation of Ukraine, one of the partners in the seed potato project, along with Greenvale AP of Scotland, Alison and Ben Giblett, John Fowler, and Uri, who commandeered the required trucks:
On February 26, 2022, Russia attacked Ukraine. Millions of people have fled their homes. Thousands upon thousands of people have died. Many houses were destroyed. The financial and food crisis began in the country. More than 25% of the territory of Ukraine is now occupied by Russian soldiers.
The Joint Seed Potato Project includes the provision of humanitarian aid (potatoes) from Scotland to Ukraine during the Russian-Ukrainian war (04.27.22-05.26.22)
One of the recipients of the Seed Potatoes Ovrutska Church “Way of love”, received 44 tons of potatoes.
The recipients were made up of farmers, large families, and pensioners.
40 tons were planted, while four tons were used for food.
THANK YOU FOR THE POTATOES!
Daniel of Clear Vision states, “The recipients of the seed potatoes are very grateful to all the people and organizations who made this aid possible. Also, thanks to all the organizations and partners who prayed, shared and supported this provision of potatoes for planting in the Ukraine.”
Hundreds of hours have gone into this project, many of them from the staff of Christian Adventures. Thank you for your financial support and prayers! Partners, you make this ministry a reality!
