I want to speak to something I see in the younger generation, because I believe it is costing you victories you don’t even realize you’re losing. Many of you have been taught to “give it to God,” and that is true; there is a time to surrender outcomes to the Lord. But somewhere along the way, surrender became passivity. “Giving it to God” became code for “I’m not going to say anything specific about this situation and hope it resolves itself.” But that’s not what David or Jesus did. They named the outcome they expected, and spoke it out of their mouths before the victory was visible!
