The Greatest Valentine of All The Love of God

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV

On this Valentine’s Day, we remember the “man of love,” T.L. Osborn, who departed this earth 10 years ago today. As we traveled the nations together, many people would tell us they had never met someone who so amply demonstrated the love of Jesus. His ministry spanned decades, reached millions of souls, and continues to reach almost every nation on earth through the literature printed and distributed by Osborn International.

During one of the Miracle Life outreaches, Dr. T.L. along with Kevin and I had lunch with the pastor of the largest church in Europe. What happened next still stands out in our minds as one of the most profound leadership moments we encountered. This pastor of many thousands asked, “What has been the key to your success in ministry these last 60 years?” We remember T.L. pausing for a moment while stroking his goatee, and with the wisdom of many years he thoughtfully looked up and said, “Love God and love people.”

His hunger to see the lost saved in the remote parts of the earth brought us into a 16-year, 25 nation launch of mass miracle experiences, ending in India with a monumental display of the love of God poured out on the multitudes of hurting humanity.

On this Valentine’s Day, let each one of us strive to be a picture of God’s love to humanity! Let’s not be fascinated by what we receive on this day. Let’s be motivated by the greatest gift given to humanity—God’s LOVE!
