Keep the Pizzas Coming

01 Aug Keep the Pizzas Coming

Several articles are being written about the prospects for the college grads released into today’s economy.  My advice to the grads: don’t accept the conclusions of the doomsday pundits!  Nothing replaces the creative drive of a human.

I just spent two hours showing a pizza delivery guy with an expertise in web development how to turn the grievance of the delivery guys, and the grievance of the pizza shop owners, into a new job opportunity for himself.  He has discovered a cause strong enough for him to fight for, and it will produce a place for him when his desire solves the problem many are facing in the pizza business. The pizza shop owners are tired of constantly re-training people because so many walk away from the job because of poor tips.  The delivery guys are tired of losing money because no one is tipping enough to even pay for gas in this economy.

There is a way to solve this, and it creates a new job for this young man.  Once he saw that he could help both sides of the industry, I saw the change in him. I told him to stop picking sides with the delivery guys, and showed him how to create his own national human resource job for this niche of need.

For every cause there is a cure.  Find the need and meet it! Turn discouragement into discovery!

What if the answer does not come immediately?  That is where the secret of faith keeps you going, knowing you have a Helper on the inside working it out for your benefit.

Stay focused on what you want, not what you don’t have…and keep the pizzas coming!
